About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Leasehold Services Manager.

The successful candidate will lead our established Leasehold Team and ensure the continued delivery of excellent services to our 1700 leaseholders and shared owners.

Ideally, you will have a background in Leasehold Services and a working knowledge of the legislative and policy framework around this, however, we will also consider applications from experienced housing professionals, whether in the public or private sector.

You will have great team leadership skills and a proven track record of leading service improvements, and a commitment to the delivery of excellent services to customers as well as the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a range of audiences including our customers and our elected Members.

The role will involve:

  • leading the Leasehold Services and Right to Buy Team with direct line management responsibility for 4 to 5 staff members
  • assisting our project team on the imminent migration of leasehold and right to buy data to our new Housing IT system
  • managing the service charge billing process, including liaising with other teams to prepare service charge estimates and year-end accounts
  • overseeing and issuing Section 20 consultation notices for major works
  • responding to lease enquiries including pre-sales enquiries
  • managing applications for Right to Buy
  • ensuring the team successfully recovers the service charges from leaseholders and shared owners
  • dealing with Leasehold First Tier Tribunal matters and attending court when required

You will need to be proactive, reliable, work well under pressure, have good leadership skills and be a resilient team member. You will be working with a supportive and dedicated team.

We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
